Sketchy Beans is a cafe that offers creatives a safe co-working space to be creative. It provides the aesthetic and atmosphere most creatives crave while feeding their bodies with kick-ass coffee. What makes this business unique is that its dual nature lends itself to be a place of zen where individuals can focus and get shit done rather than a place of socialization. The establishment is supposed to feel like a boutique library but catering to creatives' needs, supplying workstations, graphic tablets, light boxes, and comfy chairs; due to this nature, no kids are permitted entry. My client, James, wanted a logo that spoke to the culture of the business and explained that he wanted "Sketchy" to relate to a hand-drawn creative process, and "beans" is a subtle nod to the coffee bean.
